Ryūteki Bamboo Smoked Bamboo Japanese Musical Instrument Gagaku Kagura Traditional Performing Arts

Thank you for viewing my listing.

This Ryūteki was passed down to me by an acquaintance, but I am listing it for sale as it has been used infrequently. After trying to blow into it a little, I felt that although the bore is wide, the thick walls allow for a wide range of tones, producing clear sounds from high to low notes. I am listing this flute in the hope that someone interested in it will cherish it. Please understand that this is a used item.

[Origin of the Ryūteki]
The Ryu (dragon) in Ryūteki has been considered a connection between heaven and earth since ancient times, and the instrument bearing this name was cherished as a means to bridge the two. Furthermore, the inside of the tube is lacquered vermilion, a color said to revive life, and it is said that the Ryūteki is an instrument that revives life. I hope you will take this instrument, imbued with such meaning, into your hands and try playing it.

If you have any questions, please feel free to comment. I sincerely look forward to your consideration.
